Augustine Awuku-Annie brings over two decades of leadership and strategic planning experience within the security sector, where he has contributed to policy development, organizational planning, and systems management. Trained as a Mechanical Engineer, he later pursued his passion for counseling and mental health, earning degrees in Guidance and Counselling, International Affairs, and Business Administration. He holds an MPhil in Counselling Psychology from the University of Education, Winneba, and is currently pursuing doctoral studies in International Affairs.
With expertise spanning strategic planning, counseling, and organizational development, Augustine combines a unique ability to design systems with a commitment to supporting people. He has been trained in areas including marriage and family counseling, anger and stress management, and creation therapy, and his counseling philosophy emphasizes empathy, holistic healing, and empowering individuals to find healthy patterns of living.
At Nexus Integrate, Augustine serves as Director of Strategy and Planning, where he applies his background in securities planning and psychological care to guide the organization’s long-term vision. He ensures that programs are both strategically sound and deeply responsive to the needs of children, adolescents, and adults navigating trauma, stress, and personal growth. His work reflects a passion for integrating structure with compassion to create sustainable impact.
Hannah E. Acquaye, PhD
Director, Training & Clinicals
Hannah E. Acquaye is an associate professor of counseling, educator, and trainer dedicated to advancing mental and emotional well-being across diverse settings. With over two decades of experience in counselor education and supervision, she brings expertise in working with children, trauma healing, emotional intelligence, burnout prevention, and faith-based approaches to psychological care.
Her work bridges research and practice, with published studies on trauma, post-traumatic growth, and wellness in diverse populations. She has guided master’s and doctoral students in Ghana and the United States, equipping the next generation of counselors with research-informed and practical skills for community impact.
At Nexus Integrate, Hannah serves as Director of Training & Clinicals, leading initiatives that empower children, adolescents, and professionals to thrive emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. She also partners with organizations such as Refuge: Zimbabwe and Twelve12Hope to build trauma-informed care capacity across Africa and beyond.
Sarah L. Williams
Consulting Supervisor – Trauma and Clinical Interventions
Sarah Williams is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a passion for helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Abilene Christian University and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University.
Sarah has extensive clinical experience across diverse settings, including shelters, community-based agencies, private clinics, and university health care. Her professional interests span multicultural counseling, diversity and social justice practices, spirituality, dialectical behavior therapy, narrative therapy, and addressing the impact of religious trauma alongside other mental health concerns.
Beyond her clinical work, Sarah enjoys gardening, spending time with her family and community, and baking during the summer and fall months. She brings warmth, cultural sensitivity, and evidence-based expertise to her practice, enriching the supervision and clinical guidance she provides at Nexus Integrate.

Angelina A. Mensah
Counselling Psychology Volunteer Intern
Angelina A. Mensah is a doctoral student in Counselor Education and Counseling at Idaho State University, USA, with over a decade of professional experience in counseling, teaching, and community engagement. She holds an MPhil in Counseling Psychology from the University of Education, Winneba, where her thesis explored the efficacy of healing play in addressing trauma-related symptoms among school-age children.
Angelina has worked in diverse clinical and community settings, including schools, hospitals, prisons, and faith-based organizations. Her areas of experience include crisis counseling, trauma-informed care, psychological assessments, play-based interventions, and group facilitation for adolescents, caregivers, and families. She has also volunteered as a lay pastor and trainer, integrating her counseling skills with spiritual and community support.
In addition to her clinical work, Angelina is passionate about youth development, multicultural counseling, and capacity building for counselors and educators. She has contributed to international collaborations, such as the Tricontinental Teacher Training Exchange in Hamburg, and continues to advocate for mental health awareness in Ghana and beyond.
At Nexus Integrate, Angelina serves as a volunteer intern, bringing dedication, empathy, and practical expertise to support trauma-focused interventions and training initiatives.
Victoria Baah-Binney, PhD
Head of Adolescent Care & Ministerial Wellness
Dr. Victoria Baah-Binney is a counselor educator, clinician, and researcher with a passion for adolescent mental health, addiction recovery, and ministerial wellness. She earned her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Cincinnati and has extensive professional experience in both clinical practice and higher education in the United States, including roles as Licensed Professional Counselor and Adjunct Faculty.
Her expertise spans adolescent development, substance use and co-occurring disorders, multicultural counseling, and trauma. She has trained clinicians, educators, and peer counselors across Ghana, Togo, and Benin, equipping them with tools to support children, adolescents, and families with mental health needs. Victoria is also deeply committed to the well-being of ministers and faith leaders, advocating for holistic approaches to sustaining their emotional and spiritual health.
At Nexus Integrate, she leads adolescent care and ministerial wellness initiatives, drawing on her clinical, teaching, and international experience to design and deliver workshops, trainings, and interventions that foster resilience, healing, and culturally grounded care. She also provides supervision and mentorship to interns and early-career professionals, guiding them in integrating theory, research, and practice with cultural sensitivity.
Sam Marfo
Advisor, Technology & Digital Strategy
Sam Marfo is an experienced Systems Analyst with a strong background in information technology and services. A graduate of Regent University College of Science and Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, he brings expertise in SQL, PHP, jQuery, CSS, and Java to his professional and volunteer roles.
In his pro bono work with Nexus Integrate, Sam provides digital strategy and technology support that strengthens the organization’s online presence and accessibility. He contributes to website design and management, offers IT guidance, and ensures that digital tools align with Nexus Integrate’s mission of advancing mental and emotional well-being.
Sam’s commitment to service extends beyond technical skills—his voluntary support reflects a dedication to using technology for social good. By combining technical expertise with a collaborative spirit, he helps Nexus amplify its impact and expand access to vital mental health resources across communities.
Lynette Ramirez, LPC
Consulting Supervisor – Crisis, Children, and Faith
Lynette Ramirez has been working with children and families since 1989, bringing more than three decades of experience as a teacher, consultant, trainer, coach, and therapist. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Education, a Master’s degree in Counseling, and is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Washington.
Her expertise centers on grief and trauma, particularly with children, teens, and families. Lynette integrates faith-based perspectives with clinical practice, offering compassionate guidance to those navigating crisis and emotional pain. She has authored resources for educators, counselors, and parents, including Value Your Life: Supplemental Mental Health Curriculum Grades K–5 and the children’s book Listening is a Gift.
At Nexus Integrate, Lynette provides supervision and support in cases involving children, suicidal clients, and faith integration. She also helps ensure balance and well-being among the team, encouraging self-care while offering a steady “mirror” of reflection for those in multiple client-facing roles.

Michael Osei Sarfo Darko
Counselling Psychology Volunteer Intern
Michael Osei Sarfo Darko is an MPhil Counselling Psychology intern whose work is rooted in understanding the socio-emotional experiences of individuals. His current research explores the psychological challenges faced by Ghanaian celebrities, highlighting the intersection between public life and mental health.
Alongside his research, Michael is deeply committed to working with adolescents, especially those impacted by domestic violence and traumatic home environments. He is passionate about fostering resilience, emotional regulation, and personal growth in young people navigating difficult circumstances.
Michael’s professional interests include trauma counselling, youth development, mental health advocacy, and building supportive systems that empower vulnerable groups. At Nexus Integrate, he brings a blend of empathy, academic rigor, and practical counselling skills, while actively seeking opportunities to learn, collaborate, and contribute to evidence-based interventions that promote emotional well-being across diverse communities.
